Q. How much can I save by using CPU2 Freight$ave?™
A. Many marketers using zone-rated delivery services (those that charge more for distant deliveries than for nearby ones) can easily save thousands to tens of thousands of dollars per month with CPU2's Freight$ave™ bicoastal fulfillment program. Individual cost reductions depend primarily on two factors: 1) how many packages you ship each month and 2) how much each package weighs. Our Freight$ave™ Calculator will help you get a rough idea of how much you might save compared with your current fulfillment strategy.

Q. Is Freight$ave™ just for extremely heavy packages?
A. Not at all. Lighter weight packages (under a pound) will generally save a little money on each shipment, so if your volume is 50,000 pieces per month or more, even these smaller, lighter parcels may benefit from a Freight$ave™ program, depending on your specific circumstances. If your typical package weighs over a pound, the savings mount even faster. And if you routinely ship packages heavier than five pounds via a zone-rated delivery service, you definitely owe it to yourself to request a customized Freight$ave™ program proposal -- the sooner the better.
Q. Wouldn't splitting our inventory like that lock up a lot of extra inventory? How would we keep both warehouses stocked?
A. That's where the "intelligent split" comes into play. Some of your SKUs will weigh more than others. A handful of SKUs might ship in higher volumes than all the rest. By analyzing your current product and shipping profile, CPU2 can recommend an optimized plan to divide your inventory between our East and West distribution centers.
Q. What if one warehouse runs out of a product? Would that create backorders?
A. Anytime inventory on a given SKU runs unexpectedly low in either location, it can instantly be fulfilled from the other warehouse to avoid backorders, at your discretion. Your entire inventory is available for you to use, if you want, all the time. If a replenishment shipment is imminent, you may decide to wait a day or two for it to arrive at the preferred warehouse; however, most marketers don't want to keep customers waiting indefinitely when goods are available in another warehouse.
